Fun Movie for This Weekend

Down with Love

Have you seen the movie “Down with Love”, starring Rene Zelleweger and Ewan McGregor?

It came out a few years ago and tonight or this weekend is a great time to rent it.  It’s delightfully cute, funny, and bodacious!

As I laughed at the characters’ funny clothes and cute remarks, I also noticed their remarks were honest statements about how men and women see the world and what they want in their lives.

The female lead was down with love because love, in her opinion, just weighed her down and led to a constrained life as a suburban housewife. The leading man was a hip, urban swinger with a gadget-filled bachelor pad who had plenty of women to love. The characters seemed at odds, which of course is a great setup for a story.

You’ll have to see the movie to see what happens (I’m not going to give it all away).

But, I will share this:

The overall message of the movie is that women can be empowered.

They can be bodacious, and still have love!

Strong, Bodacious Women might put some men off, but generally those who are good matches find such women refreshing and attractive.  One reason I think men find Bodacious Women attractive is because they are full of life!

You don’t have to be a Victoria Secret model to be thought of as fun and exciting. But you do have to be aware of who you are and be comfortable expressing your authentic self.

I can always spot a Bodacious Woman because her eyes glow and she has a positive energy about her. She’s alive! And that’s attractive to everyone.

Down with love?  I don’t think so. Up with being bodacious!

Happy Bodacious Valentine's Day!

Cheers,

P.S. – My own “Crazy Glue” Bill shared his thoughts on what it’s like to live with a Bodacious Woman in an interview we did with relationship expert Dr. Carol Cassell. Nothing is scripted.  We only knew the questions, not each other’s answers.

Be a Dog With a Bone This Year!

Ever seen a dog with a bone?

Their tail is wagging.  They grab onto the bone, take it to a safe place, and pour their entire attention into it to the very last bite.  They are focused, they are determined, and they are happy.

It's a wonderful thing.  And it's something that we humans can learn a lot from and be inspired by.

Today a new book is coming out that I heartily recommend.  It's titled "Be a Dog with a Bone:  Always Go For Your Dreams" by New York Times Best-Selling Author Peggy McColl.

In the Holiday Mood, Yet?

Woman Laughing2

In the holiday mood, yet?

Maybe not because you’re worn out from the year.  Be it the drama of the election, sudden economic changes, or layoff.  This holiday I’m more thankful than ever for love in my life, meaningful work, and a roof over my head.

Take heart.  None of those things have to prevent you from getting in the holiday mood.  In fact, let the holidays rejuvenate your heart and spirit.

Here are some ideas to help:
